Over the last few years, Micah Pointer, CPA has grown accustomed to staying informed on the ever-changing tax laws. With practice areas including corporate, partnership, individual and fiduciary taxation, Micah and the rest of the RTBH team work hard and go the extra mile to interpret the law and determine how it will affect our clients. Micah works with a variety of clients ranging from small to mid-sized businesses and individuals on their tax planning and preparation needs.  His responsibilities also include the preparation of the Firm’s fiduciary tax returns, which includes estate, trust and gift tax returns.

Micah is a 2014 graduate of the University of South Alabama. Micah holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in accounting.  He completed studies for his public accountant certification in the summer of 2016. In 2019 Micah was named to the Alabama Society of Certified Public Accountants Advisory Council for the Mobile Chapter.

Micah enjoys giving back to our community by volunteering to coach basketball.

When he isn’t talking numbers, Micah enjoys spending time with Lynn his wife and their pups Hazel and Obi. He also enjoys spending time with friends and watching sports, specifically the Auburn Tigers.

When asked “What do you love most about accounting?” Micah responds, “figuring out ways to ethically solve problems presented by the ever changing tax code.”
