Katie is a native of Baldwin County, Alabama and a 2005 graduate of Auburn University where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. She received her Masters in Accounting from the University of South Alabama in 2007. Prior to graduation from the master’s program, Katie joined Russell Thompson Butler & Houston where she is a manager specializing in general taxation and auditing. In 2015, Katie completed certification for Business Valuation.  Katie is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Alabama Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Playing golf since she was in 8th grade, Katie loves spending her free time on the links. She also comes from a large family of Auburn Tigers and most game weekends you can find her on the plains of Lee County, Alabama. Katie, her husband, and sons live on the Eastern Shore.

When asked, “What do you enjoy most about being a CPA?” Katie responds, “The diversity; not only in our clients but in the spectrum of business application. I work on individual and business tax as well as estate and gift taxation, each of my days different from the next.”
