The novel coronavirus pandemic is on everyone’s minds, and as this situation develops, and knowing that we are in the middle of tax season, we want to stay in close contact with you.
We have implemented many rigorous internal processes and procedures to keep our employees safe and to abide by all national regulations and guidelines. We are operating in a semi-remote environment while keeping both of our offices open. We are continuing to process tax returns and if you need to drop anything off at the office, we have placed boxes outside the door for your safety and convenience. These boxes are being watched and will be collected continuously. We ask that you not come into the office. If you need to sign or speak to someone urgently, please contact your partner or accountant by phone or email to make special arrangements.
Please know that we are in direct communication with both the state and federal regulators regarding the April filing deadline. We understand that they are working to release a statement that will push all upcoming deadlines. As confirmed information becomes available, we will be in touch regarding your tax obligations. We are also monitoring other deadlines, such as payroll tax deposits and returns, contractors’ licenses and many others.
Our plan is to stay in close communication and ever vigilant throughout this period. We trust that we can work together to move as seamlessly as possible through the coming days. Our number one mission at this time is to keep you and our employees with as limited exposure as possible and we know that you are committed to that mission as well.
We thank you for trusting RTBH with your personal and business accounting needs. Together, let’s all take the necessary steps to help protect ourselves, our families, and our community.
Sincerely,
The Partners of Russell Thompson Butler & Houston, LLP
