Amanda DeWeese Mangum, CPA

Amanda is supervisor specializing in tax. Right from the beginning of her career in January of 1990 with a national CPA firm in Jackson, Mississippi, Amanda has practiced public accounting with a focus on tax law. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Alabama Society of Certified Public Accountants.
A self-defined list maker, Amanda has always set high standards for herself. She is an honor graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi where her extra-curricular activities included being a member of the world-famous Dixie Darlings marching squad.
Amanda is married to her high school sweetheart, Van, and is the mother of three teenage children. She is an active member of Eastern Shore Baptist Church where for several years she served as the Director of their Vacation Bible School program. She has also been a board member of the Spanish Fort Elementary School Parent Teacher Association and chairperson of the school’s annual spring fundraiser. Amanda has also been involved in local fundraising efforts for Parkinson’s Disease and Cystic Fibrosis, on behalf of two families in her community who have been struck by these diseases.
Amanda has truly captured the optimal work life balance. While her greatest accomplishment is her family, she has still been able to enjoy a successful career. When asked, “What aids in the balance?” Amanda responds, “at RTBH family comes first. We work hard and we are trusted to get our jobs done, but if we have a family member in need, the RTBH culture is one of understanding and compassion. I rarely feel the tug-of-war between my family responsibilities and my duties at work.”
