Like you, we at RTBH are concerned about the well being of our coast as well as our friends and neighbors.   We want to help ensure that those who are affected are compensated correctly and to the fullest extent of the law.  Individuals and businesses that have sustained loss of income or direct damage as a result of the Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill can and should seek compensation for their losses.

From the beginning of this crisis, we knew that we would have to take a steady, calculated approach to preparing ourselves and staff for this unprecedented situation.  With that in mind, we sought expert advice and direction from a national leader in loss of business income calculations and claims support.  We held a proprietary seminar with Mark Filler of Filler & Associates to review the policies and theories of how to best calculate losses.   Our entire Firm attended and has now been brought up to speed on loss evaluation and claim procedures.

We have also had multiple meetings and discussions with the local contracted BP claims adjusters. The BP claims office, located here in Mobile at Springdale Plaza, is well staffed and seems to be very professional, helpful and friendly. The onsite manager and the adjuster responsible for processing claims have agreed to assist us in claims coordination.  It appears they have the authority to execute monthly claims up to $25,000 locally. Claims in excess of this amount will be forwarded to Hammond, Louisiana, the onsite command center, and will be handled by a team of accountants employed by BP.  It should be noted that neither BP nor its adjusters have a magic formula on how to handle these larger claims. It is apparent that they may be going through a learning process as claims are filed.

In addition, we are in the process of creating exclusive financial models that can be applied to different industry sectors such as marine, condos, hotels/motels, restaurant, seafood dealers, etc. as well as individual property owners.  We can also aid you in securing SBA loans should you or others you know need funds in the interim while a final resolution is reached on an individual claim.

We at RTBH are taking steps everyday to prepare ourselves so we can be of the greatest service to you and others in our community.  Please know that should you have to file a claim, your claim will not be reduced by the cost of our services. Our fees should be paid by BP depending on the complexity of the claim in addition to your claim amount.   Our purpose is to help you file an accurate, documented, and thorough claim, which will increase the likelihood of a successful payment in a shorter period of time.

We are honestly saddened by this situation and are committed to being an asset to our clients by simplifying the process the best we can.  Should you or others you know need assistance please do not hesitate giving us a call.  Together we will sort though the process and reach a valid claim conclusion.
